When paint needs correction

Look at the bonnet in direct sunlight: if you see a web of fine circular scratches (swirls), cross-hatch marks from cloths, dull patches or areas where reflections look "cloudy", the clear coat has surface defects. Wax or off-the-shelf "scratch removers" won't fix them — they only mask defects for a few weeks.

Real correction levels the clear coat with calibrated pads and compounds under inspection lighting, until the surface is a mirror again.

1, 2 or 3 stage polish — what's the difference

The number of stages is the number of passes at different cut levels, chosen to match how deep the defects go:

• 1 Step polish — a single pass: removes fine scratches and holograms, restores gloss
• 2 Step polish — two passes: correction for medium scratches, then a finishing pass for maximum clarity
• 3 Step polish — three passes: advanced correction for heavily defected paint

The full process, from wash to protection

Correction doesn't start with the polisher — it starts with preparation: a professional two-bucket wash, then chemical and mechanical decontamination, so no bonded contaminant ends up under the pad. Only then do we correct the paint, panel by panel.

Freshly corrected clear coat is at its most vulnerable — which is why every Verk exterior package ends with a Gyeon ceramic layer sealing the result, from Gyeon One (up to 2 years / 25,000 km) to Gyeon Evo Pure (up to 3 years) on the Ultra package.
